I met Dr. Vinod Thomas in November 2008, after my 84 year old father was diagnosed with a MI. The recommendation was for carrying out an angioplasty, and I was very concerned about how my elderly father, otherwise in good health, would handle it.
The cath lab in the Hospital was fairly new, and I was rather nervous about going ahead with the procedure at the location. I had a meeting with Dr. Vinod a couple of days after the MI, with a view to enquire regarding transferring my father to a more well-known cardiac treatment facility.
However, Dr. Vinod approached the issue in a very professional manner, and explained the procedure to us in great detail.
Though I had no previous reference about Dr. Vinod in those days, I was very reassured by his quiet confidence, dedication, knowledge and his wonderful way of putting the patient at ease.

I'm very happy that I went along with my gut feel of the procedure being done by Dr. Vinod, and thanks to his skill, and by the Grace of God, my father made a splendid recovery and was back to his routine in about a week's time.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Vinod personally, and he has become a good friend to many of us as well. He continues to manage my father's health through periodic check-up / follow-up visits, and spends time to patiently listen to all his concerns, tweaking the medication wherever required, for improved results.

He has often appeared on TV programs in connection with talk shows on management of cardio-related ailments, and recommendations on enjoying good quality of life.

I would like to wish Dr. Vinod Thomas and his team, all success in their mission in taking care of the cardiac health of the afflicted, and look forward to his skills being recognized globally. The recent honour by the American Society of Cardiologists, in investing him with a Fellowship, is in my view, the beginning of a remarkable journey.

On experiencing heart palpitations, I was referred to Dr.Vinod Thomas. After running diagnostics, he correctly concluded that I had aortic valve calcification, and that Aortic Valve Replacement surgery would be needed.He was very confident of his diagnosis, and made us clearly understand the value, benefits and risks from the surgery. Now, I am recovering post _ surgery, and it would not have been without Dr. Thomas fantastic abilities and skill set. Not to pun, but we would recommend him in a heartbeat.
